Kathleen was born and raised in New York and has had a lifelong interest in drawing and painting. She began a degree in fine arts but left after a year to enter the workforce and attempted to fulfill her passion for art by continuing to paint and take art classes. After many years of trying to fit art around her schedule, together with her husband she relocated to the Hudson Valley in the Catskill Mountain Region and began painting full time. Her painting style continues to evolve.

“ My goal is to express what I find exciting and translate the beauty around me. A fleeting moment into something permanent.”

Oil paints are her medium of choice for  painting portraits, figures, still life and landscapes in her studio. She then began exploring plein air technique using oil, acrylic , and watercolor. Kathleen continues to challenge herself creatively approaching each painting as an opportunity to try something new.

“I am doing what I love and hopefully that joy is reflected in my work. I strive very hard to make each and every piece reflect the person I am and the artist I am becoming.”
